Approval Re: Authorize the Mayor and City Auditor and Clerk to execute the Local Agency Program Agreement between the City of Sarasota and the State of Florida Department of Transportation for FPID 456422-1, Hurricane Milton Permanent Highway Lighting Repair Project
Purpose of Agreement: The purpose of this Agreement is to provide for the Department’s participation in the pass-through LAP funding and financial oversight of Construction and CEI services on a project which consist of construction work replacing highway lighting along W. North Washington Drive and John Ringling Boulevard to its intersection with Benjamin Franklin Drive and extending to the southerly terminus of Benjamin Franklin Drive to replace lamp heads, arms, wiring harnesses, solar panels, controllers, batteries and other related equipment in connection with the storm damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton., as further described in Exhibit "A", Project Description and Responsibilities attached to and incorporated in this Agreement (“Project”), to provide Department financial assistance to the Recipient; state the terms and conditions upon which Department funds will be provided; and to set forth the manner in which the Project will be undertaken and completed.
